• Guadalajara Cathedral

    The Guadalajara Cathedral or Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady, is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara and a minor basilica. It is built in the Renaissance style, with neo-gothic towers.

  • Historic Downtown

    The historic downtown of Guadalajara is the oldest section of the city, where it was founded and where the oldest buildings are located. Within it, there is a large number of beautiful Squares and Public Parks that are worth the visit.

  • Hospicio Cabañas

    The facade of the building is Neoclassical and its main entrance is topped by a triangular pediment. Today, it is the home of the Cabañas Cultural Institute and its main attraction is the murals by José Clemente Orozco, which covers the main entrance hall. Among these murals is "Hombre del Fuego" (Man of Fire) considered to be one of Orozco's finest works.

  • Teatro Degollado

    It was built in the mid nineteenth century in Neoclassical design. The main portal has a pediment with a scene in relief called "Apollo and the Muses" sculpted in marble by Benito Castañeda. Inside the vaulted ceiling contains a fresco which depicts a scene from the Divine Comedy painted by Jacobo Gálvez and Gerardo Suárez.

  • Mercado San Juan de Dios

    It is one of the largest indoor markets in the country with an area of 4000 m². Most vendors in the market allow haggling, and many articles can be found at discounted prices.The market was laid out so as to have each floor have a theme, i.e. a floor for jewelry, candy, crafts, huaraches, etc. and another just for food, and a third for imported goods.

  • Tlaquepaque city

    This city is a resort focused on the craft of pottery, textiles and glass. It also counts It also has a large number of restaurants (the best in town), bars, cafes, galleries, gift shops for visitors, etc. Also known for its mariachi bands.

  • Zapopan city

    It is best known as being the home of the Virgin of Zapopan, an image of the Virgin Mary which was made in the 16th century. The main walking corridor of the city is Andador 20 de Noviembre, which is lined with bars, galleries and restaurants. Other cultural venues in the city are the Galerías Theater, the Museo de Arte de Zapopan and the Museo de Cacería Albarrán.

  • Jalisco Stadium

    It is the third largest Mexican football stadium. It hosted the 1970 and 1986 FIFA World Cup and is the home ground of Club Atlas, and former home of Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas), one of the oldest football teams in Mexico.

    Every sunday form 8 am to 2 pm,are closed to vehicular traffic some of the main streets of the city to make way for families who like to exercise with skates, skateboards, bicycles etc. Bicycles are provided without charge by presenting an official ID.

  • Colomos Park

    Important area of the green areas of Guadalajara, located on the border with Zapopan. From Monday to Sunday its a family space where you can rent horses, there are aerobics classes, athletic tracks, food areas and sports fields. The Castle and the House Colomos are cultural centers for arts, social events can be performed in Las Pergolas and reflection takes place in the Japanese Garden.

  • Malls and supermarkets

    In the city there are many shopping malls and shops where you can find the best brands restaurants, cinemas and entertainment centers. Plaza Andares, La Gran Plaza, Plaza del Sol, Plaza Pabellon, Plaza Patria and Plaza Galerias are just some of the most visited malls in the city
